When Brett and I were dating, I got home from classes to find my bed strewn with candies, presents, notes, roses, and a big sign that said I love you in Mongolian. He left me a note telling me to get dressed up and pick between two options for the night. He then picked me up and took me to a romantic sushi restaurant in Park City, and we walked around Park City then watched a romantic movie and went back to the condo in Park City where we had had our first kiss. It was sweet. My lamest valentines was probably last valentines day. I think I had a huge test and took it till about 8 at night then Brett and I went to sleep. Lame! Hopefully this next one will be better.

As a kid, Valentines day was always something special because we got gifts from our parents. We were woken up with a basket FULL of goodies, I still remember getting the COCKTAIL soundtrack that had Kokomo by the Beach boys... I was one happy girl :)

Our best Valentine's Day was 6 years ago... Dave invited me over to his apartment for a candlelight dinner. He handed me a rose. Inside it was an engagement ring. He asked me to marry him and I said YES! Then we watched a chick flic and called all of our family and friends to share the good news. AHHHH! The good old days!

My best Valentine's day was when Ben and I were first dating. He did a great job planning the evening with dinner out, a play up in Salt Lake and a gift of a single red rose and some chocolates. That was great, but actually my favorite part about that Valentine's was surprising him. I had gotten one of his roommates to help me leave a trail of candy kisses/heart confetti from his bed to a great big basket of goodies in the kitchen so that he would find it when he woke up. He completely did not expect it, and that was the best part.

My best Valentine's Day ever was when Spencer and I had first started (online) dating - we had only been talking about about 2 weeks and on Valentine's day morning I was at my BF's house from sleeping over the night before (hey, I was 19) and my mom called and said I needed to come home right away! I was so irritated until I got home to find that a dozen red roses had been delivered!!! It was my first time ever getting roses and I was so so excited that Spencer liked me so much! We were engaged less than 2 months later!!! :o)

Dave and I are usually low key - just dinner and a token gift. Anything with a little box involved tends to do the trick!

On the Valentine's day just before Darin and I got married, we went to see our new house that was getting built. We were planning on going in and having dinner in the partially built house. But when we got there, we found they had installed (and locked) doors since the last time we had been there! So we had a nice dinner on the back porch...
