January Giveaway!!!

Ok, I know some of you have really been missing this blog!!! I have sadly neglected it for a while, but hopefully I can stay on it! I have been trying to find the "perfect" January giveaway, and so I decided that "money" to pick out what you want is better than anything else right? So for this month, the winner will receive a $10 gift card to Michael's...I know it's not much, but you can get a great new stack of scrapbook paper or fun new tool for the new year! October Giveaway!

Is it really October? It's not a scary giveaway this month :) Mara Sisk made this adorable fold out album and it is perfect for just adding your pictures! It'd make a great gift for a loved one as well! Enter a comment with your favorite thing about October!

We Love Charlie

My nephew is so adorable, but we don't get enough picture of him it seems! So I saved up the three pictures I had from this past year and grouped them together on one layout....instead of taking up more space and matting them each individually, I used one large mat color to focus on the main man.
The details on this page are my favorite! A thin rim of scalloped cream paper, the coordinating ribbon (found in my stash) looping through the metal spoke and the coordinating mini eyelets to hold it all down.....

Darling by: Mindy Burns

When you only have one, very special photo to scrapbook, try using extra large blocks to off-set the picture, and to equal out the entire page. Here, the title "Darling" is a rub-on, but rather than keeping it "in the box", it is actually going off the square a little onto the other patterned paper, which adds interest and dimension....
The large cut out with ribbon tied around it draws your eye directly to the picture, as it overlaps it a little! Thanks Emily for a great layout idea!

September Giveaway!

This is a GREAT, versatile layout that I whipped up with some great new paper I got this weekend! If you don't want to use it for a baby boy layout, I think it'd make a great dad, brother, or father layout as well!

Scrapbook Recipe Book by: Mindy Burns

I made a recipe book for my sister and her husband as a 1-year wedding anniversary gift, using all the extra scraps from the guest book I made her for her wedding, and extra pictures of the two of them! I used a 6x6 album, which I hadn't used before, but it turned out to be a great size for a recipe book! I think it made a great gift, and I made sure to include all our favorite family recipes and some of my personal favorites as well!
