I've heard lots of scrappers say they don't like one page layouts....but I say- change it up a little! Just because one side of your book doesn't match the other side, doesn't mean it's still not fun and interesting! I made this layout for my scrapbook exchange and it just makes me happy! I still don't even have pictures to put in it, but I couldn't resist that apple paper. I especially love the little ball fiber I found that looks like little apples on the bottom left side! The apples on the tree are made from red wire that I just shaped into little round apples.

My nephew is so adorable, but we don't get enough picture of him it seems! So I saved up the three pictures I had from this past year and grouped them together on one layout....instead of taking up more space and matting them each individually, I used one large mat color to focus on the main man.
The details on this page are my favorite! A thin rim of scalloped cream paper, the coordinating ribbon (found in my stash) looping through the metal spoke and the coordinating mini eyelets to hold it all down.....

When you only have one, very special photo to scrapbook, try using extra large blocks to off-set the picture, and to equal out the entire page. Here, the title "Darling" is a rub-on, but rather than keeping it "in the box", it is actually going off the square a little onto the other patterned paper, which adds interest and dimension....
The large cut out with ribbon tied around it draws your eye directly to the picture, as it overlaps it a little! Thanks Emily for a great layout idea!

I made a recipe book for my sister and her husband as a 1-year wedding anniversary gift, using all the extra scraps from the guest book I made her for her wedding, and extra pictures of the two of them! I used a 6x6 album, which I hadn't used before, but it turned out to be a great size for a recipe book! I think it made a great gift, and I made sure to include all our favorite family recipes and some of my personal favorites as well!

The original layout looked more like Jenni's, which included the sailboats! Notice how her son's shirt has sailboats on it too (we scrapbookers love coincidences like that!)
I changed mine a little bit to keep the softness of my son's baby pictures...I used the vellum cover to hide some NICU pictures that I wanted to remember, but they were a little too sad to have in plain view....

The ribbon and buttons both have rub-ons that were rubbed directly on to them!

When a child decides to pack their bags and hit the road, it's a moment you just have to capture! This layout does a great job of keeping the focus on the pictures of the little runaway! And the title is GREAT!

I NEVER make cards! My husband always wonders why I buy packaged cards at the store when I have a bunch of card-making materials at home...I've tried to explain that scrapbooking and card-making are two VERY DIFFERENT hobbies. It would make sense that if you scrapbook, you make cards, but I know I am NOT the only one out there that prefers one to the other....
A card exchange has forced me to try the card making thing, and after the initial, "how do I fit everything onto this tiny little card?" dilemma, it was actually quite fun and refreshing to have something done fairly quickly! I might have to try it more often!!!
The top one is made from a new paper line I bought called Animal Crackers, and it is ADORABLE- lots of sparkly animals and designs...The second cards is made mostly from scrap paper, including Me & My Big Ideas, but the felt flowers are from Stampin'up, and I love the colors of them! I also bought the 'make them yourself' brads, which are really cool because you can make the top of the brad anything you want, you just cut out the same sized circle, and then cover it in a clear epoxy sticker provided, for a very custom look!

Cricut deep cutting blades....

Has anyone had any luck with these? I cannot get the deep cutting blade to successfully cut any chipboard!!!! What am I doing wrong????

I love this really simple, black and white layout!
This is a "lifted" layout from one of my Disney layouts, which I loved, but now I love it even more with this color scheme!!! Love the ribbon loops!
